We do news from the world of sports, and we love our job because we love sports. What kind of news do we do exactly? For example, like this:

    Jan Blachowicz's new fight

Former UFC bantamweight champion Jan Blachowicz (29-9) announced that he has signed a contract to fight. Apparently, it's about the fight with 30-year-old Russian Magomed Ankalaev (18-1). The bout is scheduled to take place Dec. 10 at UFC 282 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, USA.

"The contract is signed," Blachowicz wrote on Twitter.

Ankalaev defeated Anthony Smith (36-17) last fight by a second-round TKO. The fight took place on July 31 at UFC 277 in Dallas, USA. That allowed the Russian to move into second place in UFC bantamweight history in consecutive wins.
Blachowicz defeated Aleksandar Rakic (14-3) in his last fight. The Serb injured his knee in the third round and was unable to continue the fight. The judges said the Pole won by TKO. The fight took place on May 15, at UFC on ESPN 36 in Las Vegas, USA.

Frank Mir compared the UFC to slave owners

Former UFC heavyweight champion and head of the United Fight League Frank Mir (19-13) criticized UFC management for its treatment of its own fighters.

"If a fighter has a contract with us, he can call me up and say, 'Hey, man, I've been offered a boxing match against Logan Paul,' I would say, 'Great! Full steam ahead!" What can I do? Keep fighters from making money?" - Mir asked on the Intellectual Combat podcast.

Mir also recalled an episode with Francis Ngannou (17-3), who was banned by the UFC from the boxing ring.

"If he [Ngannou] was our fighter and he was offered $30 million to fight Tyson Fury, that would be awesome. There's no way I would have gotten in the way of that, but rather I would have asked for a front-row ticket.

Why stop a fighter from making money? To me, it's comparable to slavery. The UFC says, "You will only fight when I tell you to. But if you piss me off, you don't get any fights." You can sit without fights for 18 months, and you won't even be allowed to perform in another organization. So you can't earn money, feed your wife and kids. It's not right."

Mir ended his UFC career in 2016, losing to Mark Hunt (13-14) by first-round knockout.
